Client responsibilities for Personal Training
-
You understand that the PAR-Q (including Doctors Approval, if applicable), Informed Consent and these Terms & Conditions must be completed and agreed to prior to your first session.
-
You understand that payment must be made in advance of the first session. Failure to make payment will result in the cancellation of the personal training session or programme.
-
You understand that purchased sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase.
-
You agree to give 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of sessions. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of one session.
-
You understand that payments are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or transferred to another individual.
-
You understand that the session starts and finishes at the time agreed by both parties. Any time lost due to your lateness is considered part of the session and non-refundable.
-
You understand that rates for Personal Training are subject to change and reviewed annually. (Prepaid sessions that are unused at the time of a rate change will be honoured at the prepaid price.)
-
You understand that there are different payment options for Personal Training (PAYG or block bookings). A payment option will be agreed ahead of your first session and any follow-up block bookings.
-
You understand that if the PT session has been shared (i.e. 2-1), the session will remain at full price even if your training partner has cancelled in advance.
-
You understand that you have control of the workout and may terminate a particular exercise or workout at any time. Further to this, you understand that it is your obligation to inform the trainer of any discomforts, pain or concerns experienced during or arising from a session.
-
You agree that the trainer can terminate a particular exercise or workout at any time if the trainer believes you are not in suitable condition for exercise.
-
You understand that your trainer is not a doctor, physiotherapist or dietician and not a replacement for professional advice from experts within specialist fields such as these.
-
You understand that to get the most out of your training sessions, the following are recommended:
-
Have a small snack or light meal two or three hours before your session (unless medically unable)
-
Be sure you are well hydrated and avoid alcohol prior to training
-
If you are feeling unwell before your session please contact me to cancel the session
-
Bring a towel and water to drink to your session
-
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear (ask me if you are unsure)
-
Be ready at the appointed time
-
-
You understand that while your trainer can give you the tools and encouragement to reach your goals, ultimately you will need to assume responsibility for following guidance and making the required changes. Your trainer can best help you with this process if you keep them fully informed of any issues that arise for you and if you have any questions or concerns whatsoever please let them know.
